The yarn
that binds us

Specialists in the art of excellence, 100% Made in Italy knitwear, we are valuable partners of the fashion houses, refined interpreters of designer creativity thanks to the use of high-tech Stoll and Shima machinery and the know-how of craftsmen with skilled hands. In 1964 Italo and Maria Marabini founded Maglieria Osimana in Osimo, Ancona, a specialised business in the production of knitted articles which in 1965 became Italmar and finally, in 1969, Paima, from the initials of the family members Paola, Alessandra, Italo, Maria, Alessandro.

From the 1970s onwards, the business grew and consolidated thanks to international collaborations with the most important fashion houses and the introduction of new yarns and continuous investments in up-to-date technologies.
Today the company continues in the name of continuity, following the path already traced by Italo and Maria Marabini, with the commitment of siblings Paola, Alessandra and Alessandro. In a word, Paima.

We thread the the yarn of creativity
In Osimo, in a medieval town in Central Italy, we have found fertile ground to express creativity and experimentation. Here, in the green hills of the Marche, our small atelier family has taken root. The proud family workshop has grown into a solid and respected industrial reality. With tenacity and dedication, we have become a point of reference for luxury brands.

The utmost expression of 100% Made in Italy quality, the art of knitwear excellence is for us a heritage and tradition to be preserved and to pass on. From the very beginning, we have maintained a frank and open dialogue with the territory and the surrounding socio-economic fabric: in addition to the efforts and loyalty of the highly skilled workforce employed in the company (more than 200 employees), we collaborate with a dense network of subcontractors spread throughout Italy, most of them from the Marche region.

By joining the platform Re. Verso ® platform, we make our contribution to the disposal and regeneration of yarns and production waste, with a view to the circular economy. At the customer’s request, we use recycled yarns and we are always open to discuss and propose concrete solutions in the name of recycling and reducing the environmental impact of production processes.
THE FIL ROUGE OF SUSTAINABILITY
Solar panels installed on the roofs, LED lighting, use of biotechnology to reduce Wastewater pollution: our commitment to protecting the environment and raising the level of sustainability of production activities is constant.
We also use natural fibres grown according to organic farming principles, without the use of pesticides or GMOs, as guaranteed by Gots (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification.
